Once you have activated your Community Borrower status (see this FAQ on how to get a library card):

You can check out:

  • Books
  • Movies (DVDs)
  • Audio books
  • Music CDs
  • Magazines

You can also use our Interlibrary Loan service, which would cover borrowing materials our library doesn’t physically own.

When you are in the library, you can obtain a 2 hour pass to use the library computers. On the library computers, you can access any of our online databases or electronic resources including eBooks within the library.

Library cards are valid during the fiscal year, from 6/30-the following year on 6/30. When your card expires, you can renew the same card at the Circulation Desk.

If you have any questions, please contact the Circulation Desk at 847-214-7337.

ECC students and employees are welcome to use their student ID or employee ID as a library card only at other participating I-Share libraries.  Community borrowers may use their ECC Library card at ECC, but these cards are only valid at the ECC Library.
