In some of the databases, Chrome doesn't like "cookies" and will give an error screen when you try to access the database. It happens particularly with eBook Central. Below is a potential fix using the example for eBook Central, but for Step 6, you can put in the appropriate URL for the database with which you are having difficulty.
Another option is to use a different browser to see if that solves the issue.
- In Chrome, click on the three vertical dots in the upper right-hand corner
- Scroll down and click on “Settings”
- On the left-hand side of the screen choose “Security and Privacy”
- In the middle of the screen choose “Cookies and other site data”
- Scroll down to the second from the bottom, where it reads “Always clear cookies when windows are closed” and click on the “Add” button to the right
- Enter {URL] in the pop-up box, then click “Add”
- Completely exit chrome so the changes take effect
