This is a new integrated resource that marks a significant milestone in ECC Renner Academic Library's commitment to providing superior resources and services to its patrons, ushering in a host of benefits and changes that promise to elevate the academic experience for students, faculty, staff and community.
Benefits:

  • Searches will include all the library resources all at once such as books, articles, eBooks, streaming video, DVDs and CDs.
  • Access to thousands of materials from over 90 Illinois colleges and university libraries
  • 15 million more items available to students, faculty, and staff
  • Ability to request items seamlessly from other libraries
  • Items requested can be shipped to the academic library nearest you

Things to know about the new catalog:

  1. Searches on topics will include items in our library and electronics resources such as articles from the databases and streaming video all at once.  Then the results can be limited in many ways.
  2. About a month after implementation, patrons will be able to request physical items from over 90 Illinois college and university libraries.
  3. Patrons will be able to sign into I-Share catalog to do more on their patron accounts such as renew items and check the status of items requested.
  4. ECC employees and students will be able to sign into the catalog with the ECC username and password.
  5. If you would like to dive more into how the catalog will work, please check out this website from COD.  We will be making our own instructional materials after implementation.
